Gábor Tarkövi
Professor Gábor Tarkövi — a world-renowned trumpet soloist — has joined the supporters of the Troll János Musical and Cultural Foundation, offering a personal message that underscores how vital a committed and supportive background can be in the journey of young musicians.
"It is an honor to perform in the world’s greatest concert halls — but to teach, to help, and to witness the unfolding of a young musician’s talent is just as uplifting.
Talent can appear in many forms, but what they all have in common is the need for support in order to truly be heard. I, too, owe a great deal to those who believed in me at the very beginning.
Now, as a professor, I see every day what a difference it makes when a young musician has a solid and supportive foundation — whether it’s a mentor, an institution, or a dedicated foundation. The Troll János Musical and Cultural Foundation is exactly that kind of environment.
I consider their work not only professionally important, but deeply human as well.
I believe that Hungarian musical culture will remain alive only if the musicians of the future receive the support they need to fulfill their calling.
This is why I wholeheartedly recommend the Foundation’s work to every supporter who believes that music is not only sound — but also heritage."
